United Way Kick Off Lunch

October 30, 2013

Paul Manders has been a supporter of the United Way for over 15 years. In addition, the firm is a very large supporter of the charity nationally.   In fact, the firm matched a large amount of our local campaign totals last year and we hope they will do so again.

Paul started as a volunteer on the allocations committees that had the good fortune of going  to the agencies each year to hear their pitches for funding for their programs.

It gave him some great insight into how far these funds go with each agency in our community.

For the past 10 years, Paul has been the campaign coordinator for our London branch. His strategy was always quite relaxed and  just touched base each year with everyone in the branch to see if they had interest in supporting the United Way.

Last year Paul offered a complementary lunch at the London club that was well attended by all the London branches and a special thanks goes to all of the NBF and National Bank employees who attended and supported the campaign last year.

The idea was such a success we decided to do it again, it was great kick-off to our 2013-2014 Campaign which sees us participating in “Casual Fridays”, “One London Place Stairclimb” and our newest fundraising idea “Survivor – The Wine Addition”!
